Branch
Overview
The Branches submodule is used to create and manage all business branches within the organization. Each branch represents a physical location or operational unit where business activities such as sales, purchases, inventory management, and reporting are performed.
Branch records are used throughout the application to organize data by location and support multi-branch business operations.
Interface Overview
The Branches page provides the following controls:
Search – Quickly locate branches using keywords.
Filter – Filter branches based on available criteria.
Refresh – Reload the latest branch records.
Add Branch – Create a new branch.
Action Menu (⋮) – Available for every branch record.
The Action menu for each branch/record in the list contains view, edit and delete functions
Creating a Branch
To create a new branch:
Open Master Data → Branches.
Click Add Branch.
Fill in the required branch information.
Click Save Changes.
The following information can be configured while creating a branch:

Name | Name of the branch. |
Type | Select the branch type. |
Phone | Primary contact number with country code. |
Alternate Phone | Secondary contact number with country code. |
Website URL | Official website of the branch (optional). |
Email ID | Official email address of the branch. |
Country | Country where the branch is located. |
State or Province | State or province of the branch location. |
Address | Complete branch address. |
GST Number | GST registration number of the branch (if applicable). |
After saving, the branch becomes available throughout the application for assigning transactions, employees, inventory, reports, and other branch-specific operations.
Viewing a Branch
To view a branch's information:
Locate the required branch.
Click the ⋮ menu.
Select View.
The system displays the complete branch details in read-only mode.
Editing a Branch
To modify an existing branch:
Locate the branch.
Click the ⋮ menu.
Select Edit.
Update the required information.
Click Save Changes.
The updated information is immediately reflected throughout the application.
Deleting a Branch
To remove a branch:
Locate the branch.
Click the ⋮ menu.
Select Delete.
Confirm the deletion.
Deleted branches will no longer be available for future transactions. Depending on system configuration and existing business records, branches associated with transactions or employees may not be eligible for deletion.
Searching and Filtering Branches
Use the Search box to quickly locate branches by entering the branch name or other searchable information.
Use the Filter option to narrow the displayed records based on the available criteria, making it easier to manage multiple business locations.
The Refresh button reloads the latest branch records from the system.
Notes
Every transaction in the system can be associated with a specific branch, enabling accurate branch-wise reporting.
Branch information should be maintained accurately to ensure proper inventory, sales, and purchase tracking.
Contact details and GST information should be kept up to date for business communication and tax compliance.
Changes made to a branch are reflected wherever that branch is referenced within the application.
In multi-branch organizations, each branch should have a unique record to prevent operational conflicts.
