Customers
Overview
The Customers submodule is used to create and manage customer records within Caddayn Biller. Every customer can be maintained with their contact details, identification information, demographic details, address, and GST information. These records are used across Sales, Rewards, Customer Service, and other customer-related operations.
The Customers page displays all registered customers along with important information such as customer code, name, mobile number, email address, address, and account creation date. Users can search, filter, create, update, view, and delete customer records from this page.
Interface Overview
The Customers page provides the following controls:
Search – Quickly locate customers by name.
Filter – Filter customer records based on available criteria.
Refresh – Reload the latest customer records.
Add Customer – Register a new customer.
Action Menu (⋮) – Available for every customer record.
The Action menu contains view, edit and delete functionalities for each record/customer.
Adding a Customer
To register a new customer:
Open Master Data → Customers.
Click Add Customer.
Enter the customer's information.
Click Save Changes.
The following information can be configured while creating a customer:

ID | Type of identification (Aadhaar, Passport, Driving Licence, Voter ID, etc.). |
ID Number | Identification number corresponding to the selected ID type. |
Occupation | Customer's occupation. |
Highest Education | Highest educational qualification. |
Religion | Customer's religion. |
Blood Group | Blood group of the customer. |
Gender | Gender of the customer. |
Marital Status | Marital status. |
Country | Country of residence. |
State or Province | State or province. |
Address | Residential or business address. |
Date of Birth | Customer's date of birth. |
GST Number | GST number for business customers, if applicable. |
After saving, the customer becomes available throughout the application wherever customer selection is required.

Viewing a Customer
To view a customer's information:
Locate the required customer.
Click the ⋮ menu.
Select View.
The system displays the complete customer profile in read-only mode.
Editing a Customer
To modify an existing customer:
Locate the customer.
Click the ⋮ menu.
Select Edit.
Update the required information.
Click Save Changes.
The updated information is immediately reflected throughout the application.
Deleting a Customer
To remove a customer:
Locate the customer.
Click the ⋮ menu.
Select Delete.
Confirm the deletion.
Depending on system configuration and user permissions, customers linked to existing invoices or transactions may not be eligible for deletion.
Searching and Filtering Customers
Use the Search box to quickly locate customers by entering their name.
Use the Filter option to narrow customer records based on available criteria. Filtering simplifies the management of large customer databases and helps users quickly locate specific records.
Notes
Customer records are used throughout the system for billing, sales history, rewards, and customer management.
Providing accurate contact information helps improve communication and customer support.
Business customers should have their GST Number recorded to ensure accurate GST invoicing.
Identification details can be maintained for verification and record-keeping purposes.
Changes made to customer information are reflected across all modules where the customer is referenced.
