How to track the consignment of produced items?

1. Production Completion

When a product is ready, the process begins with completing its production. Once production is completed, the finished product is moved to the warehouse for further processing.

2. Warehouse and Packing Process

After the product reaches the warehouse:

  • The finished product is properly packed.

  • Customer details are attached to the package.

  • The required barcode and other relevant information are added.

  • The package is prepared for shipment.

Once the packing process is completed, the package is handed over to the assigned delivery employee.

3. Creating a Shipment in the CADDAYN Application

To manage and track the delivery process in the CADDAYN application, create a shipment under the Sales section.

Enter the required shipment details, including:

  • Customer Name

  • Employee

  • Vehicle

  • Status

  • Start Location

  • Destination

After entering the required information, save the shipment details.

4. Selecting the Shipment Status

While creating the shipment, select the appropriate status based on the current stage of the delivery.

The available shipment statuses are:

  • Pending – The shipment has been created but has not yet started.

  • Pickup – The package is being collected or prepared for pickup.

  • In Transit – The shipment is currently being transported.

  • Out for Delivery – The package is with the delivery employee and is being delivered to the customer.

  • Delivered – The package has been successfully delivered.

  • Cancelled – The shipment has been cancelled.

  • Returned – The package has been returned.

  • Lost – The shipment has been reported as lost.

  • Damaged – The package has been reported as damaged.

The status should be updated whenever there is a change in the shipment's actual condition or delivery stage.

5. Adding Products to the Shipment

After entering the shipment details:

  1. Select the relevant items or products included in the shipment.

  2. Verify the shipment information.

  3. Save the complete shipment record.

This ensures that the products being delivered are properly associated with the shipment.

6. Tracking the Shipment

Once the delivery employee receives the package and the shipment starts moving, update the shipment status accordingly.

The shipment can then be checked in the CADDAYN application to monitor:

  • Current shipment location or stage

  • Current shipment status

  • Delivery progress

  • Expected delivery progress

This provides clear visibility into the movement of the product from the warehouse to the customer.

7. Marking the Shipment as Delivered

Once the product has been successfully delivered to the customer, open the relevant shipment and select “Mark as Delivered.”

This confirms that the delivery has been completed successfully and updates the shipment record accordingly.

8. Complete Product Journey

The shipment tracking process helps maintain a complete and organized record of the product journey:

Production → Warehouse → Packing → Shipment → Delivery Employee → Customer

By updating the shipment status at each stage, the CADDAYN application provides clear visibility into the shipment's progress and helps users monitor the delivery from production to final delivery.
