Tables

Overview

The Tables submodule is designed for restaurants, cafés, and other table-service businesses to manage customer tables within Caddayn Biller. It allows businesses to create and maintain table records, assign them to branches, configure pricing categories, and define their operational status. Tables created here can be used during order and POS operations.

Interface Overview

The Tables page provides the following controls:

  • Search – Quickly locate tables by name.

  • Filter – Filter table records based on available criteria.

  • Refresh – Reload the latest table records.

  • Add Table – Create a new table.

  • Action Menu (⋮) – View, edit, or delete an existing table.

The table list displays:

  • Table Code

  • Table Name

  • Description

  • Branch

  • Table Status

  • Table Price Category

  • Waiter Name

  • Created At


Creating a Table

To create a new table:

  1. Open Master Data → Tables.

  2. Click Add Table.

  3. Enter the required table details.

  4. Configure the available options.

  5. Click Save.

The following information can be configured:

Field

Description

Table Name

Name or number used to identify the table.

Branch

Branch to which the table belongs.

Table Price Category

Pricing category used for orders placed through the table.

Default Waiter

Employee assigned as the default waiter for the table.

Default Customer

Customer associated with the table by default, if required.

Table Status

Current operational status of the table.

Description

Additional information about the table.

Apply Eligible Offers Automatically

Automatically applies eligible offers to orders associated with the table.

Apply Eligible Discounts Automatically

Automatically applies eligible discounts to orders associated with the table.

Virtual Table

Allows the table to be used for placing orders regardless of its current status.

Table Price Category

The Table Price Category determines the pricing applicable to orders placed through the table.

Available categories include:

  • Regular

  • AC

  • Swiggy

  • Zomato

  • Online

  • Express

  • Takeout

  • Dine-in

The available options can be chosen depending on the type of business and can be configured accordingly.

Virtual Table

A Virtual Table is intended for situations where orders need to be placed without depending on the table's physical availability status.

When enabled:

  • The table always remains in Available status.

  • Orders can be placed using the virtual table regardless of its current usage status.


Viewing a Table

To view a table's information:

  1. Locate the required table.

  2. Click the ⋮ menu.

  3. Select View.

The system displays the complete table details, including its branch, pricing category, assigned waiter and customer, status, description, and configured options.


Editing a Table

To modify an existing table:

  1. Locate the required table.

  2. Click the ⋮ menu.

  3. Select Edit.

  4. Update the required information.

  5. Click Save.

The updated table configuration will be reflected wherever the table is used.


Deleting a Table

To remove a table:

  1. Locate the required table.

  2. Click the ⋮ menu.

  3. Select Delete.

  4. Confirm the deletion.

Note: Avoid deleting tables that are actively associated with ongoing or historical transactions unless the record is no longer required.


Searching and Filtering Tables

Use the Search box to locate tables by name.

Use the Filter option to narrow the displayed table records based on the available criteria. The Refresh button reloads the latest table information.


Notes

  • Tables are primarily intended for restaurant and table-service operations.

  • Each table is associated with a specific branch.

  • The Table Price Category determines the applicable pricing for orders placed through the table.

  • Virtual Tables remain permanently Available and can be used for placing orders regardless of normal table status.

  • Eligible offers and discounts can be configured to apply automatically to table orders.

  • Changes made to a table are reflected in the operations where that table is used.
